Shane qualified as a professional10 years ago. He has been able to run a successful playing career alongside his coaching and his is strength lies in the way he spots your problem, analyses it and provides you with an achievable solution.

I base my teaching methods around a solid set up, believing that 95+ percent of all SWING faults occur from a poor starting position!

Once the set up (esp posture) is set then then the one plane swing really is the easiest way for the club to be swung in a repetitive manner. I really try to emphasize the connection of the arms to the body for the whole of the golf swing - this seems to be something that most people can relate to and more importantly 'feel' very quickly during the change process.

Video analysis using the G.A.S.P coaching system makes the learning process so much easier because the pupil can actually see their technique change and improve as the go along - using myself and the likes of Tiger Woods and his changing swing. I also find the swing of Colin Montgomerie very useful from the behind angle as this really shows the amount of effort/correction from back swing to down swing needed in a two plane swing.

My goal is to make the swing as easy as possible, not only to learn but to actually take away from a lesson and repeat on the golf course too. The only thing you may find difficult with this method is forgetting all the old golfing myths and swing thoughts from the past and believing that golf 'really' can be this simple!

Simple

Taking the hands and arms out of the golf swing and learning to control the club with the body dramatically lessens the number of moving parts in the golf swing.

Powerful

Soft muscles move faster than hard muscles, it's scientific fact. With passive arms and hands on each shot, you'll have maximum speed at impact - every time!

Effortless

Every great golf shot feels effortless. Because the one plane golf swing corectly uses the big muscles for power, every shot you hit goes further. On average one plane swing converts hit the ball a clublength longer!
